Orbit — Privacy Policy

Last updated June 2026

Orbit is a private space for two people. We collect only what the app needs to work: your email (for sign-in), your profile (name, optional photo, city/time zone, favorite color, optional birthday), and the content you create together — dates, memories, letters, messages, lists, and answers.

Health & location

With your permission, Orbit reads your steps, walking distance, workouts, active energy, and sleep from Apple Health, and your location for nearby date ideas. Health data is read on your device; only aggregate numbers (e.g. meters walked, minutes slept, workout totals) are saved to your private space. Orbit never writes to Apple Health.

Who can see your data

Your content is shared only with your partner in your shared space, enforced by row-level security. Photos in your private "Just Us" space and daily check-ins marked "just for me" are visible only as you choose. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising, and we don't track you across apps.

Third parties

We use Supabase (hosting/database), and — to power optional features — a generative-AI provider for date suggestions, plus weather and flight-status providers. These receive only what's needed to return a result.

Your control

You can edit your profile and notification settings anytime, and permanently delete your account and personal data from Settings → Delete account. Shared content you co-created may remain with your partner.
